Canada Summer Jobs 2020: Vancouver Centre

By August 31, 2020No Comments

Over $1 million in funding in Vancouver Centre was distributed through Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) this year. This week I will be featuring some of the 240 students who were hired as part of this program.

False Creek Rowing Club:

This year, the CSJ program was expanded to cover 100% of the cost of hiring for employers and to keep students employed until Feb. 2021. This has helped students like Caitlin, Jasmine, and Katie who work at the False Creek Rowing Club.

International Financial Consulting Ltd.:

Jonathan’s favourite parts about working at International Financial Consulting Ltd. are the team culture and the engaging work, giving him a first-hand perspective into the world of international development. The Canada Summer Jobs program helps students and new graduates gain valuable work experience in various industries, giving them-ready-to work skills. #CSJ2020

Urbanarium:

85 organizations in Vancouver Centre received #CSJ2020 funding to hire youth like Leanna, who is gaining experience in the world of urban planning at Urbanarium. What a great opportunity!
