Talked to many businesses. In order to reopen safely many of them will have to borrow or find money to comply with public health regulations to minimize the spread of COVID-19. A $14B fund from the Government of Canada to provinces/territories will help with these costs for infrastructure and renovations by businesses and municipalities through providing:
- Personal protective equipment for healthcare workers and businesses
- Testing and contact tracing
- Childcare
- Assistance for vulnerable populations
- Support for municipalities
- Paid sick leave for workers
